Sketch for Survival Junior , kid's art competition 2024

Join Sketch for Survival Junior by entering the art competition open to all 16 and under.

In addition to raising funds for projects worldwide, Sketch for Survival Junior raises awareness about species extinction and biodiversity loss.

The competition showcases a wide range of art styles and unites the voices of young people worldwide in support of conservation.

There are three age groups in 2024 - these are listed below. Submissions open on February 1 and close on June 30.

Three age groups are available: up to 7 years old, 8-12 years old, and 13-16 years old;

Submitted artworks should focus on a threatened species (please see guidelines below);

June 30 is the closing date;

Gary Hodges and Sophie Green are members of our expert selection panel;

'We will select four artworks in each category (from all submissions) for exhibition and auction. Other selected entries will be featured online;

Our Project Fund receives ALL proceeds from the November Sketch for Survival Junior artwork auction.'

The longlist will be announced at noon on Thursday, July 4

Congratulations if the selection panel has longlisted you. You will be asked to ship the original artwork to Explorer HQ in Norfolk, UK. The panel will use the submission form and image provided. All details will be provided. Longlisted artists will be included in the Exhibition Collection (exhibited and auctioned) or the Highly Commended Collection (displayed and sold in pop-up shops and online stores).

The final collections will be announced at midday on Thursday, September 19

Obtaining certificates

When you complete the submission form, you will find a link to download the participation certificate. Look out for the confirmation screen that appears after you submit your form.

The school coordinator, Neil, also issues certificates to the finalists, the winners in each age group, and the schools.
